This Site

A portfolio that reacts to its own conditions. It notices when you go offline, and there's more here than the nav admits.

Most portfolio sites are a résumé with better typography. This one is closer to a demo: the site itself is a small argument that I know how to build things that feel alive.

Things it does that it doesn't advertise

  • It knows when your connection drops, and says so in its own voice instead of letting the browser's error page speak for it.
  • It has a console. Press ~.
  • There's a physics engine in here somewhere. Everything on this page can fall down, given the right sequence of keys.
  • Anyone who opens DevTools gets a note. That's a deliberate audience.

The boring parts, which matter more

Content is MDX with schema-validated frontmatter, so a typo fails the build instead of shipping undefined to production. Colors, type, spacing, and motion all resolve through one token layer, which means re-theming the entire site is a single-file change. The whole thing is a static export on Cloudflare, so even the offline check is just a request for a plain file. Nothing here is clever for its own sake.
